Chicago Pop‑Up Dinner Series — Akahoshi Ramen 🍜

Mike (aka Ramenlord) makes hands‑down the best ramen in Chicago. Thanks to my friend’s lightning‑fast ticket grab, we got to try his latest pop‑up: Tonkotsu vs. Tonkatsu. My friend had the classic tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen — delicious, though she said it wasn’t mind‑blowing.😘😁 I went for the tonkatsu‑style mazesoba (broth‑less noodles). Tossed with fried garlic oil, sesame, and fresh lettuce, the bowl was wonderfully crunchy yet creamy — so satisfying!👍😊 Even Chef Otto from Kyōten was there dining, and after the meal, the chef from Chicago Supper Club came over to ask when Mike’s next event would be. It’s clear how respected his craft is among industry peers. A few days ago, his ticket release crashed the Tock website — fingers crossed he opens his own shop soon so we don’t have to battle for seats every time! 🙏😄 #ChicagoLife #Chicago #Ramen #ChicagoEats #FoodieAdventures #ChicagoFoodScene
