Chicago Purple Pig | A Timeless Restaurant Favorite
As a long-standing popular restaurant in Chicago, Purple Pig is located on the Magnificent Mile and is famous for its creative small plates and rich flavors. It's a must-visit for tourists, and after my third visit, I've picked out a few dishes that are definitely worth trying: 🦆 Half Duck The duck skin is roasted to a golden, crispy finish, while the meat remains perfectly tender and juicy. Each bite is packed with rich aroma. The contrast between the crispy skin and tender meat is irresistible. If you love duck, this is a must-try. 🦴 Bone Marrow Bone marrow is a signature dish at Purple Pig. It's aromatic and melts in your mouth. Paired with crispy toasted bread, each bite is filled with a rich, fatty texture that is incredibly satisfying. 🐙 Spanish Octopus The octopus is perfectly grilled, with a slightly charred exterior and tender, chewy interior. The accompanying sauce is well-seasoned, adding a layer of flavor that is both fresh and complex. 🦑 Squid Ink Chitarra This squid ink pasta is rich and flavorful, with each strand of pasta coated in a savory sauce that captures the essence of the sea. If you enjoy pasta and seafood, this dish is a must! 🥩 Smoked Pork Tongue The pork tongue is smoked to perfection, with a unique savory flavor and a firm yet chewy texture. It's served with macaroni salad and ricotta salata, creating a mix of sweet, tangy, and creamy flavors. However, personally, I wasn't a big fan of the cheese in this dish. #Chicago #ChicagoFood #PopularRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #ChicagoLife
