Came across this spot while shopping in Wicker Park — such a pleasant surprise! Authentic tonkotsu broth! You can see the broth simmering right in the pot. 🐖🔥 I ordered the Summer Special Tsukemen — simple yet reliable flavor, with super chewy noodles and a rich, umami broth that’s flavorful without being heavy. My boyfriend got the Tonkotsu Ramen and finished it so fast I couldn’t even snap a photo 😂 (But we went back today 📸) We were practically fighting over the broth, and maybe the owner noticed — he kindly offered us an extra bowl of tonkotsu soup on the house! 🥹❤️ (So sweet — they even re-fried the chicken karaage in my bowl because it looked a bit dark from the soy sauce. The whole staff was super nice!) Even the plain broth wasn’t fishy at all — just a light, subtly sweet taste. (Not shading anyone, but their tonkotsu really stands out — a whole tier above others 🏆) We also tried the karaage — crispy outside, tender and juicy inside, with a special dipping sauce (maybe shishito-based?) that cut through the richness and added depth. 🍗💚 Heard good things about their cocktails too — definitely coming back to try those! 🍹 Overall, a sincere and ingredient-focused spot with a clean, natural flavor profile.
