Chicago Restaurant Week|Amaru is Delicious!

Amaru is offering two dinner options for Restaurant Week: $42 (3 courses) and $59 (4 courses). I went with the $42 menu — portions were huge and totally satisfying! 🍹 Cocktail: BYE, YOU – I ordered this separately! A passion fruit Luzhou Laojiao baijiu cocktail — sounds unique, right? It was delicious! If I wasn’t driving, I’d have had two more 😅. 🥗 Course 1: CEVICHE DEL DIA – Bright, tangy, and perfectly balanced. Great appetizer with generous fish portions — highly recommend! 🥟 Course 2: CUBAN OXTAIL – Ravioli stuffed with oxtail meat. Still a hearty portion — so tasty I powered through even though I was getting full 😂. 🍰 Course 3: COCONUT PINEAPPLE TRES LECHES – A bit on the sweet side, and the coconut/pineapple flavors were subtle. But the sponge cake was moist and yummy! ⚠️ Personally, the $59 menu didn’t seem as worth it. If you’re curious about dishes from the middle courses, just order them à la carte and share — it might even be cheaper! ‼️ My friend ordered from the regular menu because we were curious about their non-Restaurant Week items: 🐟 Market Fish – Highly recommend! A whole deboned fish — fresh and beautifully seasoned. We loved it! 🦞 Seafood Empanadas – Filled with crawfish. Tasty, but the sauce was a bit too salty for us. #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #AmaruChicago #LatinFusion #CocktailLove #FoodieReview
