Chicago Restaurant Week | Morton’s The Steakhouse 🥩
⭐️ Morton’s The Steakhouse 📍 65 E Wacker Pl, Chicago, IL 60601 Just made it before Restaurant Week ended and tried Morton’s — it’s actually a nationwide steakhouse chain. Among Chicago’s Restaurant Week steakhouse options, Morton’s stands out because you don’t need to pay extra for steak! Many other high-end steakhouses charge an additional $15–20 on top of the $59 menu price for steak… so being on a budget, I gladly said no to those 😅💸. 🍲 Lobster Bisque Pretty tasty, though a bit on the salty side 🧂. Paired perfectly with the complimentary bread — which, by the way, was amazing! The crust was crispy, savory, and slightly charred… maybe a pretzel-style bread? (Not sure, or maybe it was just extra salty — but in a good way! 😆) 🥩 Center-Cut Filet Mignon + Mashed Potato This was the no-upsell steak 🎉! A friendly tip: if you order it medium-rare, since the cut is quite thick, the center can be quite rare — almost like a gradient from medium-well on the outside to rare in the middle 🥩🔪. If you’re not a fan of too much redness, go for medium-well! Both the steak and mashed potatoes were solid — no disappointments here. 🍮 Crème Brûlée By this point, I was way too full 🥲… but my friend loved it, and I did too! The custard was moderately sweet — not the typical sugar bomb you often find in the U.S. 🇺🇸. Sadly, I had no room left to fully appreciate it 😅. The set menu was $59 with various upgrade options, but honestly, most American steakhouses feel pretty similar to me. ⚠️ Money-saving tip: Costco sells gift cards for the Landry’s restaurant group (which includes Morton’s) — $100 for just $80! Another day, another Costco win #Chicago #ChicagoFoodie #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #DinnerIdeas #Steakhouse #Mortons
