Chicago Restaurant Week - Piccolo Sogno 🇮🇹✨

Chicago's 2023 Restaurant Week has officially wrapped up, and this year I tried two spots — here’s my take on one of them! I went for the lunch menu at Piccolo Sogno because comparing it to dinner, the offerings weren’t too different — plus the lunch selection already had everything I wanted to try. This Italian spot is known for generous portions and great value. At lunchtime, the crowd was mostly seniors 👵👴 — a good sign of its reliable reputation. They started us off with bottomless bread 🥖 + olive oil & vinegar — so tasty we finished it instantly! First Course: 🍝 Meatball – Served with a soft, oat-butter-like sauce — super tender and flavorful. Thought it’d be a small appetizer, but it was literally bigger than a kid’s fist! 🦪 Mussels – Fresh and lightly seasoned, simple but satisfying. Second Course: 🍝 Pasta – Solid classic Italian preparation. 🐟 Fish – A bit overcooked on the edges but saved by a delicious sauce! 😋 Dessert: 🍮 Pudding & Tiramisu – The real stars! Perfectly sized, not too sweet, and even the little ones loved them 👧👦❤️. If you didn’t get to try it this year, definitely keep Piccolo Sogno in mind for next Restaurant Week! It’s a great value pick — especially when so few places offer lunch menus these days. #ChicagoLife #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #ItalianFood #ValueDining
