Chicago Restaurant Week 2025 — Riccardo Trattoria 🍝
Last year, I recommended Riccardo Trattoria for Restaurant Week. This year, after moving to the suburbs and booking late, most spots were full — so I returned to this reliable favorite. 🧀 Truffle Gnocchi – Soft, cheesy gnocchi topped with truffle shavings, bathed in buttery mushroom goodness. 🦞 Lobster Bisque – Loaded with king crab meat and veggies, though a bit on the salty side. Generous portion, though. 🐰 Pan-Seared Rabbit Tenderloin – Wrapped in prosciutto, tender and juicy with a basil finish — a standout Roman-style dish. Not sure if it’s a regular menu item. 🍮 Passion Fruit Panna Cotta – Decent, but nothing extraordinary. 🍝 Beef & Porcini Pasta (off-menu add-on) – On the Restaurant Week menu as a half portion; I ordered the full size. Tasty, but noticeably smaller than before. 🥖 No more complimentary focaccia — maybe a Restaurant Week cutback, or just the times we live in. The Restaurant Week menu is packed with choices (see last slide). Still more satisfying than many West Loop Italian “style-over-substance” spots, but honestly, it’s not quite what it used to be. Go if you’re nearby — but manage expectations. 📍 Riccardo Trattoria 2119 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60614 #RiccardoTrattoria #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #ItalianFood #LincolnPark #ComfortFood
