Chicago Speakeasy Series — The Library 📚

Last time I wrote about Gilt Bar (part of the Hogsalt group), but underneath it lies another hidden spot — The Library. Head downstairs along the staircase facing a painting of a dog 🐕, and you’ll enter a corridor lined with film camera photos To the left is a photo booth — perfect for capturing a moment with a date or friends. On the right, you’ll see the door handle — step through, and you’re in the famous library. The vibe continues the upstairs retro charm but feels much quieter and more intimate — a cozy spot to unwind. Pic 5 is my favorite drink, Daisy — a sweet blend of vodka, St-Germain, Aperol, and lemon 🍋. You can also order food from Gilt Bar’s menu here, so you could come just for dinner. Unlike Gilt Bar, The Library is walk-in only (check in with the host on the first floor) — no reservations.
