Chicago Vintage British-Style Brunch at Armitage Alehouse🎩🍳

📅 **Brunch Hours:** Weekends 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM 📱 **Reservations:** Available via Resy (but hard to snag!) This time, I visited **Armitage Alehouse** in Lincoln Park for a British-style brunch~ This restaurant belongs to the **Hogsalt** group, just like **Ciccio Mio** and **Au Cheval**. I originally wanted to try their famous **pot pies**, but since I couldn’t make it for dinner, I settled for brunch instead! Sadly, the brunch menu doesn’t include pot pies, so I’ll have to come back another time. 😢 We arrived around 10:30 AM~ Walked in and waited about **20 minutes**, ending up at the bar! 🍸 The restaurant’s decor is similar to **Ciccio Mio**—full of vintage British charm, with wooden accents and warm, dim lighting creating a cozy yet refined atmosphere! The vibe was relaxed and inviting, and almost every table had alcoholic drinks! ☕ **Drinks:** - **Bottomless Coffee Cup - $6.95** ☕ (refillable) - **Chai Latte - $6.95** 🍵 🍽 **Brunch Dishes:** 1️⃣ **Crispy Silver Dollar Hash Browns - $14.99** ✨ **Rating: ★★★★☆** These hash browns are different from the usual ones—they’re denser and crispier, almost like fried shrimp cakes! The rich potato aroma hits you as soon as they’re served. The apple sauce and sour cream add a nice depth of flavor. They’re quite firm, so you might need a few extra bites, but perfect for crunch lovers! 2️⃣ **Full English Breakfast - $24.99** ✨ **Rating: ★★★☆☆** A classic English breakfast platter with eggs, roasted tomatoes, bacon, blood sausage, beans, and toast. The blood sausage was surprisingly good—not too crumbly—and paired well with the toast or scrambled eggs. 🥓 Traditional and tasty, but nothing extraordinary. 3️⃣ **Light & Crispy Waffles with Strawberries & Cream - $16.99** ✨ **Rating: ★★★★★ (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!)** The waffles were the **biggest surprise** of the day! 🍓 Crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside—lighter than typical American waffles, so they don’t feel too heavy. The fresh cream and strawberry jam (with real fruit chunks!) were perfectly balanced. Honestly, they’re delicious even without maple syrup! I’ll **definitely** order these again next time! (Extra $3.99 for the jam.) 💡 **Next time, I’m coming back for the waffles!!** Or maybe dinner to finally try their **pot pies**~ 🥧 #BritishBreakfast #ChicagoLife #WeekendBrunch #BrunchSpot #FoodieAdventures #MyDailyEats
