Chicago YC Italian Restaurant – 4🌟 Review 🍝
Located next to the Westin, this upscale Italian steakhouse has a sophisticated decor, though the menu is relatively limited with only a few pasta options—all fairly standard. The biggest letdown of the meal was the Crab Cake 🦀 – quite possibly the worst version I’ve ever had. The texture was loose and crumbly, lacking the firmness and fresh seafood flavor a crab cake should have. Easily the low point of the dinner. The Lasagna performed as expected—rich tomato flavor and well-layered pasta sheets. Nothing surprising, but decent and reliable. Spaghetti and Meatballs brought a pleasant little surprise! The pasta had just the right firmness I love—chewy and satisfying. A solid choice. Shrimp Scampi Pasta, however, was a bit odd. It had a slight numbing sensation (?), which felt unusual in a pasta dish. While the shrimp quality was good, the seasoning wasn’t really my thing. Lastly, the Flourless Chocolate Cake was extremely sweet, especially that red sauce on top, which had a strangely off-putting flavor—unique but hard to appreciate. The restaurant’s interior is nice and was quite busy during our visit. The check suggested a 20% tip (calculated pre-tax). Overall, prices lean high without many standout dishes. Worth a try if you’re in the area, but not a must-visit. 📍 Location: 70 Yorktown Center, Lombard, IL 60148 🏠 Restaurant: Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse 📋 What We Ordered: Crab Cake Lasagna Shrimp Scampi Pasta Spaghetti with Meatballs Flourless Chocolate Cake 💰 Total: $127.4 (after tax, before tip) 🅿️ Parking: Plenty of free spots right outside! #ChicagoEats #ItalianFood #SteakhouseReview #FoodieDiary #PastaLover #NotRecommended
