College Student’s Bold Adventure in Jeju 🇰🇷

A no-nonsense guide for fellow students on a budget—from data cards to Udo Island hacks!🌅 📱 Data Card Pro Tip: Buy a data card before you go! If you’re staying 5 days, get a 6-day card—no data in a foreign country is a nightmare. But don’t panic too much: the airport and most shops have free WiFi.😒 My experience: My data ran out on the morning of my return flight, but luckily I grabbed a taxi near my hotel—crisis averted! 🏨 Accommodation🙁 1. Bed Radio Guesthouse 💗 Location: Near Dongmun Market—super convenient for food and transport. Price: Budget-friendly—perfect for broke students! Perks: Free breakfast (yogurt + oatmeal + blueberries—tastes decent). They’ll send the main door code and room code to your email in advance. Minor Flaw: Doors lock at 8 or 9 PM (varies slightly). If you end up checking in late and struggling with the door, hit me up—I’ll guide you for free! Stay Duration: I stayed here 4 out of 5 days—it felt like a home base.💗 2. Seongdong 2 Guesthouse 💜 Location: Close to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (good for the east coast route). Cons: Super depressing vibe! The rooms are dark, there were no lockers for luggage, and when I wanted to check out and get a refund, they refused. I had to tough it out. Silver Lining: Met a friendly Korean local—we chatted for over an hour! Most people here are warm, even if the guesthouse isn’t. 🍜 Food Total Restaurant Visits in 5 Days: Only 3 (student budget = strict!).💜 BHC Fried Chicken: ~130 with a Coke—splurgy, but so worth it (a must-try!). Haenyeo Restaurant on Udo Island: ~75 RMB—fresh seafood, no regrets. Random Eatery Near Seongdong 2 Guesthouse: ~75 RMB—simple but filling. My Go-To: Convenience stores! I have a big appetite, so I popped into CU/7-Eleven often—kimbap, gimbap, or instant noodles. Cash goes further here, and I never ran out of money.🖼 🏝️ Udo Island – My Top Tip: GO TWICE (and Skip Tours!)💫 Weather Matters: Go on a sunny day if you can! was taken o🖼n a clear day—it’s stunning. Even on a cloudy day (my second visit), the sea at White Sand Beach still looked like “jelly water”—so daytime visits are non-negotiable. Transport: Rent a bicycle instead of joining a tour! Tours only give you 20-30 minutes per spot—totally not enough. Cycling around the island takes hours if you stop often (my friend and I took hours with breaks)—slow and relaxing. Warning: NEVER leave your passport as a deposit for the bike! Your passport is your ID abroad—without it, you can’t fly home. Offer a cash deposit or non-valuable luggage instead. Tour Trap: If you take a travel agency’s car onto the island, you’ll pay an extra ~150 RMB—save that money for snacks! 🌿 Seopjikoji were taken here—it’s nice, but not mind-blowing. Great for photo lovers, though! Cloudy days give it a moody, different vibe—worth a stop if you’re in the area. #CollegeStudentAbroad #Travel #JejuBudgetTravel #JejuTrip #FirstTimeAbroad
