🍢 Columbus | ER-GE BBQ & HOT POT BUFFET

Located at the former PJ Hotpot spot, this place opens at 3 PM. We arrived around 4 PM and it was already getting busy — by 6 PM, there was a long line forming outside! The buffet offers a huge variety: hot foods, skewers, hot pot, BBQ, fruits, drinks, and ice cream. But if I’m honest, nothing really stood out as exceptional. Unlike typical AYCE spots where you order from a menu, here it’s a self-serve buffet. Staff are friendly, but a bit overwhelmed when it’s crowded. 🍲 Food Experience The hot dishes and skewers are the highlights here. 🔥 Skewer Section: This is the only skewer AYCE in Columbus! Lots of options: potatoes, eggplant, king oyster mushrooms, seaweed, rice cakes, shrimp, chicken feet, beef, pork belly (though the pork had a slight odor 🥹). Veggie skewers were great! Flavors are mild, but there’s dry seasoning available to spice things up. You grab raw skewers, they’re grilled in the kitchen, and delivered via robot — fun and futuristic! 🤖 🍜 Hot Pot: Good broth and a full sauce bar. Veggies and noodles are fresh and varied. The seafood selection stands out: snow crab, blue crab, shrimp paste, abalone, mussels, clams, scallops, squid! 🦀 But the meat slices are just okay — nothing special. 🥩 BBQ Grill: Meat quality is average, but for the price? Can’t complain too much. 🧋 Drink Station: Beyond soda, they have fresh fruit tea and boba milk tea! Also spotted Genki Forest sparkling water and Wanglaoji herbal tea — nice surprise! 🥤 🍧 Dessert: Fruit and ice cream — simple but satisfying to end the meal. 🧼 Environment Restrooms are nicely decorated and even stocked with mouthwash! But with high traffic, cleanliness can slip. Tables are well-spaced, though we had a fly visit our food soon after sitting 🪰 💵 Price & Value Two people ate for $59 before tip — really affordable! Despite some downsides, it’s solid for the price. If they improved the meat quality, I’d gladly pay $20 more per person. ✅ Verdict: Unique for Columbus, especially for skewer lovers.
