The streets, the houses, even the gardens—everything looked so European. ☘️ The neighborhood was serene and quiet on this rainy morning, with only a few joggers and dog walkers passing by. It was such a rare feeling of safety and calm—a stark contrast to the constant unease I felt in New Orleans or LA, where homelessness and chaos are everywhere. Next, I followed a recommendation to a historic bookstore. 📚 The place was quirky but fascinating—a three-story loft with 32 rooms, each filled with books of different genres! Since I wasn’t looking for anything specific, I just wandered around, bought two postcards as souvenirs, and left. By lunchtime, I headed to a highly recommended German deli (again, thanks to ). 🥪 Unsurprisingly, there was a long line—probably because Columbus doesn’t have many touristy spots, so everyone flocks to the popular ones. The shop was small but had two huge wooden barrels of free pickles! 🥒 It was funny watching people not just take some to eat but also pack extra in bags—I guess people everywhere love free stuff, even if the pickles weren’t that great.
