Finally made it to Lalibela Restaurant β and wow, what an experience! π 1111 S Hamilton Rd, Columbus, OH 43227 Donβt be fooled by the modest exterior or the dim, lounge-like interior β youβre in the right place! The owner warmly greeted my friend and me (two very confused East Asian faces π ) and guided us to our table with a kind smile β probably worried weβd bolt lol π Combination Plate A beautiful spread of flavorful stews, spiced lentils, and tender lamb served on injera β a soft, slightly tangy fermented flatbread. We tried everything wrapped in the injera: the savory lentils, fragrant lamb, and even a mustard greens dish that tasted almost Chinese! So versatile β we joked itβd be great with eggs, chili, or Lao Gan Ma πΆοΈ π₯ͺ Beef Sandwich Caramelized onions and well-seasoned dry-aged beef tucked into bread β simple but deeply satisfying. The beef is chewy and dry in a good, jerky-like way. β Traditional Ethiopian Coffee Made from beans roasted on-site β rich and aromatic, but served with a twist: ginger! An interesting combo β not for everyone, but worth a try. We awkwardly asked for utensils (instead of eating with our hands π), and the owner kindly obliged.
