Columbus Food Visit|Ty Ginger

Ty Ginger is one of Columbus’s most famous Cantonese dim sum spots 🥢 📍 5689 Woerner Temple Rd, Dublin, OH 43016 🌟 Char Siu (BBQ Pork) Today’s biggest surprise! The meat was tender — not dry, perfectly soft. The seasoning was spot-on — sweet but not cloying, and even someone like me who doesn’t usually love sweet dishes found it delicious. The sauce made it even richer. It disappeared from the plate in no time! 😋 🌟 Dry-Fried Beef Ho Fun Really disappointing… 😔 Though the portion was huge, it lacked wok hei — none of that stir-fried aroma. Tasted very plain, like something you could easily make at home. Plus, it had lots of shredded ginger, which overpowered the flavor and kept getting stuck in my teeth — not a pleasant texture. Unless you’re really craving ho fun, skip this one! 🌟 Dim Sum There are so many dim sum varieties, so I’ll group them together ~ Each order is small and comes out slowly… so they vanished as soon as they hit the table. I only managed one quick pic of the crab claw 😅. Overall, the dim sum is pretty solid — nothing really disappoints! The crab claw is wrapped in shrimp paste (?) and breadcrumbs, then fried — flavorful, bouncy, and aromatic. Huge and a must-order for me! Har gow (shrimp dumplings) have soft, chewy wrappers and big, fresh shrimp with crispy bamboo shoots for texture — so good! The rest — char siu bao, custard buns, steamed spare ribs, and chicken feet — are all safe choices. Not mind-blowing, but satisfying to have in the U.S.! Finally, gotta say… Ty Ginger is pricey 😅. We did eat a lot today, but still — $50 per person including tip felt steep. Good for an occasional treat, but not for budget-friendly eats! #ColumbusEats #DimSum #TyGinger #CantoneseFood #FoodReview #ColumbusFoodie 🥟
