Concord (Bay Area) đ§ââď¸ Zombie Breakfast Spot
As the title saysâpassed by Concord on a weekend morning and decided to grab some breakfast since I was already up anyway! If youâve lived around here, you know this area used to have tons of dim sum and Chinese restaurants. But after the pandemic, so many closed down. Now, if you want dim sum, you have to drive all the way to Creek House in Walnut Creek đ. That said, even though lots of old spots shut their doors, plenty of new restaurants have popped up too! Okay, back to the pointâI originally planned to grab a quick bite at 85°C, but then I found a bar-style breakfast spot on Google: đ§ââď¸ Rob's Zombies đ§ââď¸! What they sell are stuffed bread rollsâabout the size of your palm, and surprisingly filling. These rolls are called âzombies,â and they come in different flavors. Theyâre a bit like the char siu buns you get at Chinese restaurants, but with Western-style fillings. If you love melted cheese, youâll probably dig these đ§. Itâs not some viral âmust-visitâ spot, but itâs way better than chain fast-food joints đ. The prices are on par with most Western breakfast spotsâYelp rates it â$$â (moderate). The zombies are packed with melted cheese, plus options like ham, burger patty, or eggs. Eat one at 10 AM, and youâll stay full until 2 PMâno joke! As for the decor? Itâs a casual Western eatery with a slight bar vibeânothing fancy or âInstagram-worthy,â and itâs definitely not the âbest of the bestâ around. But Iâd recommend it to anyone in Concord whoâs tired of McDonaldâs or Jack in the Box for breakfast and wants something a little different for a change! #WhatToEatForBreakfast #BayAreaFood #ConcordEats #Breakfast #BestBreakfastSpots
