Concord (Bay Area) 🧟‍♀️ Zombie Breakfast Spot

As the title says—passed by Concord on a weekend morning and decided to grab some breakfast since I was already up anyway! If you’ve lived around here, you know this area used to have tons of dim sum and Chinese restaurants. But after the pandemic, so many closed down. Now, if you want dim sum, you have to drive all the way to Creek House in Walnut Creek 😕. That said, even though lots of old spots shut their doors, plenty of new restaurants have popped up too! Okay, back to the point—I originally planned to grab a quick bite at 85°C, but then I found a bar-style breakfast spot on Google: 🧟‍♂️ Rob's Zombies 🧟‍♀️! What they sell are stuffed bread rolls—about the size of your palm, and surprisingly filling. These rolls are called “zombies,” and they come in different flavors. They’re a bit like the char siu buns you get at Chinese restaurants, but with Western-style fillings. If you love melted cheese, you’ll probably dig these 🧀. It’s not some viral “must-visit” spot, but it’s way better than chain fast-food joints 😋. The prices are on par with most Western breakfast spots—Yelp rates it “$$” (moderate). The zombies are packed with melted cheese, plus options like ham, burger patty, or eggs. Eat one at 10 AM, and you’ll stay full until 2 PM—no joke! As for the decor? It’s a casual Western eatery with a slight bar vibe—nothing fancy or “Instagram-worthy,” and it’s definitely not the “best of the best” around. But I’d recommend it to anyone in Concord who’s tired of McDonald’s or Jack in the Box for breakfast and wants something a little different for a change! #WhatToEatForBreakfast #BayAreaFood #ConcordEats #Breakfast #BestBreakfastSpots
