Contemporary Art Gallery

📍Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico 🌅The Puerto Rico Museum of Art is a gallery dedicated to showcasing contemporary works by Puerto Rican artists from the 18th century to the present, spanning different eras, historical periods, and media. 🔎The artworks are sourced from public and private collections as well as commissioned pieces. 🌈Housed in a neoclassical former hospital building, the museum features 18 galleries spread across four floors, each with a distinct thematic focus. 🌊The installations are particularly intriguing. A serene garden provides a perfect space to relax, though an afternoon is hardly enough to take in all there is to see. 🌷 We enjoyed beautiful artworks by various Puerto Rican artists—always delightful and fulfilling. The staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive to our questions. ☀Outside the museum, the cultural plaza features a sculpture of a reclining woman by Fernando Botero.
