Crossing America: Oklahoma City 🚐🇺🇸

Arrived in Oklahoma City and parked at Love’s RV Stop ⛽. Drove through northern Texas into Oklahoma — covered 283 miles today, bringing the total trip to 1,344 miles! 🛣️ Oklahoma City started as a tent camp ⛺ back in 1889, officially became a city not long after, and merged with Indian Territory to form the state in 1907. Known as the “Oil City” 🛢️ (gas prices here are a pleasant surprise for us Californians!). The city was also the site of the 1995 federal building bombing — one of the deadliest domestic terrorist attacks in U.S. history with 168 lives lost 💔. (Sadly, I didn’t have time to visit the National Memorial this time.) I’m a big fan of Love’s Travel Stops — clean, nice-looking, and a favorite among truckers 🚛. Easy refueling ⛽, plus discounts if you use the Love’s App! You can grab food 🍔, book a shower 🚿 (free promo here 😉), and even plan your stop ahead. My neighbors were a sweet retired couple with a Dream Class A RV + a Jeep Wrangler 🚐✨. What makes Love’s RV Stop stand out is how it’s separated from the truck area — no noisy diesel engines running all night! 🙌 It’s quiet, clean, and offers pull-through sites with full hookups. At around $59/night, it’s way more affordable than KOAs (which average $150). Perfect for road-tripping RVers who value comfort and convenience. Also, like Texas, Oklahoma is an open-carry state. 🔫 #RoadTrip #RVLife #Oklahoma #LoveTravelStop #USAbyRV
