Dallas' Bingsu is Simply Superior to Houston's

✨Today I tried the mugwort bingsu at Sul & Beans. Beneath the layer of mugwort powder on top, there were three generous layers inside. The top layer featured four pieces of bean flour rice cake, followed by a large mound of red bean paste (very sweet). Condensed milk is served on the side for those who love sweetness and creaminess to add as they wish. The mugwort, when mixed with the milky ice, creates a delightful combination of the herb’s fragrance and the nutty aroma from the almond slices. Apart from the red beans, the rest isn’t overly sweet. I truly envy the bingsu in Dallas—no matter which place you visit, it’s not only affordable but also comes with plenty of fruit and generous portions (though there was no fruit in today’s bingsu, the mugwort powder was very abundant). In contrast, Houston’s bingsu is either extremely sweet or has very little fruit and small portions, as if all the shop owners had conspired together! 😂 Taro Sul-bean I had no idea what flavor to try on my first visit, but I was strongly recommended to go for the taro one! Soy Milk Sul-bean I gave this a try, even though I wasn’t sure why it’s their signature dish. 🤪 Oreo Sul-bean Delicious! Even though it’s an Oreo flavor, it uses more of the black biscuits without the cream filling. If you love the black part of the Oreo, this one’s for you! Next time, I’m planning to try the Earl Grey one—it looks amazing! 📍 Sul & Beans 9292 Warren Pkwy Suite 260, Frisco, TX 75035 #DallasFood #Bingsu #Dessert #HoustonFood #HoustonFoodie #Dallas
