Dallas | A Hidden Gem of a Local Bakery
✨To sum up this recently discovered local bakery in Addison in one word: hidden gem. It’s a treasure trove of quality, freshly baked goods, and great value for money—La Spiga Bakery. I think that without a recommendation, most people would probably just drive by and miss it. Every day after 1:30 p.m., their bread is half-price, which is an incredible deal! Plus, their bread is freshly baked daily, and they have a wide variety. 🌟The most famous item here is their #8: CROQUE-MONSIEUR SANDWICH / $10.95. It’s two huge French ham and cheese sandwiches. The portion is so large that I could only eat half, saving the other half for lunch the next day. The freshly baked bread is incredibly fragrant, with lots of meat and some vegetables and chips on the side. This dish is best enjoyed fresh off the grill; reheating it won’t be the same. If you love cheese and ham sandwiches, you have to try this! 🧋(In addition, the staff highly recommended #6: LEMON CHICKEN PICCATA SERVED WITH ANGEL HAIR TOPPED WITH ASPARAGUS & MOZZARELLA / $11.95. It’s a super fragrant pasta dish with angel hair pasta and several pieces of very tender chicken (it’s rare to find such tender chicken breast). The sauce is a white sauce with a lot of lemon juice, making it a light yet flavorful pasta dish that’s not greasy. Highly recommended! #Dallas #DallasFood #DallasLife
