Boy, do I have a REVIEW. I just stumbled across this place because I was looking for a quick lunch around my office. I went to the location and IMMEDIATELY, the smell outside is delicious, warm, sweet and inviting. and ordered a sandwich combo that comes with a half sandwich, soup or salad and housemade chips. I brought it back to my office and when I tell y'all... I had an out of body experience as I was eating this combo. I got the turkey and cheese hot sandwich and tomato basil soup. Say what you want about a simple turkey and cheese sandwich... but La Spiga somehow made it a delicacy. The sourdough bread that I got it on was some of the best bread l've ever had. All the ingredients were so fresh and complimented each other seamlessly like the Dallas Symphony during their Summer Music Series. And the SOUP? The perfect dipping soup for my sandwich AND on its own. This tomato basil soup blows every notable competitor l've ever tried in the past out of the WATER. The housemade chips were also fresh and lovely but I spent most of my time on the sandwich and soup. La Spiga Bakery will now be a regular spot for me. Looking forward to taking my friends here and frequenting it for work lunch getaways. God bless whoever made my sandwich, soup and chips and may the fruits of blessings be showered on the founder and staff of La Spiga...
Read moreWe came here for breakfast Saturday morning. I wish the owners would take advantage of the beautiful and cozy place they have. As it is, this is not a place to dine-in. We came in and we stood there for a minute, not knowing if we had to be seated. We eventually sat ourselves at a table. The service was awful. You have to order at the register, which no one mentioned. Not even the lady that brought us a plate with sweet bread⊠wrapped in foil.. The cashier that took our order did not know anything about the menu. This is a European style bakery, but it honestly looks like the business is just fully dependent on DoorDash and Grubhub orders and doesnât care much for people that want to dine in. This being a cafe, I was expecting a coffee variety. They had no decaf. My boyfriend canât drink caffeinated, so he ended up getting a tea, that âthey thought was decaf.â They proceeded to bring me a cup of hot water and pointed me to the teabags. The sandwiches were okay. I asked for a warm roast beef sandwich, but it came cold. Their logo says theyâre passionate about making bread, or something of the sort. Main reason we decided to come⊠well, thereâs not a single bread out there. I was expecting to walk in and be overwhelmed by the smell of fresh bread, but nothing. So much potential, but sadly a...
Read moreThis spot is so unassuming and near a few repair shops. I came here with a few coworkers and as soon as we entered, we were all greeted by an employee behind the register. There were a few âdailyâ specials on a board near the register and a menu on the wall that broke down the different combos and menu items. I also noticed a menu to the right of the entrance where you could get coffee and an area where you can get cakes/pastries. I asked them at the front what they recommended and they asked what items I was leaning towards. I indicated that Iâd like a sandwich. She asked if Iâd like to do a combo rather than just a sandwich so I decided on getting Tomato Basil Soup and a Chicken Tarragon Sandwich.
The quantity of food our group received for the price we paid was so good. Some members of our group had nearly 2 meals from what we were given. They also provided a small plate of different types of bread for our group like sourdough, ciabatta, and jalapeño cornbread. Anyways, the sandwich was quite large and the soup was warm and tasty. I definitely want to go back to try their pastries and coffee, and maybe even a slice of cake. I recommend you stop by and...
