Dallas | Did I Just Try the Local Ace Taco?

🚩Today, my manager mysteriously said he’d take me to his favorite locally-rooted Taco place. I came along skeptically, thinking, “What’s so special about tacos?” Well, this place completely changed my perception of tacos! They’re truly amazing! I was instantly sold and have already added it to my list of favorite restaurants! 🌟This is the place—Velvet Taco. I haven’t seen it in other cities. It started right here in Dallas and has been expanding since 2015. This year, they’re even opening their first international branch in London! 🧋I tried two tacos today, and both were exceptionally delicious: KOREAN FRIED RICE: Highly recommended! It’s based on Korean fried rice with stir-fried pork. The seasoning and sauce are incredibly flavorful but not overpowering. Each bite is very satisfying, and it lacks the traditional taco shell taste and any meaty aftertaste. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why it’s so good, but it’s just super fragrant and perfectly balanced! ♨️MEXI-CALI SHRIMP: This is also a signature dish and the first in their seafood tacos. The shrimp is crispy, and the combination of vegetables and shrimp is just amazing! The sauce is very refreshing, and there’s no greasy feeling after eating it.
