DC Restaurant Week｜Moonraker – Such a Gorgeous Rooftop Bar! ✨

While exploring DC, I searched Google Maps for new spots nearby and stumbled upon Moonraker. We reserved a patio seat in advance via OpenTable. Their patio overlooks the Potomac River and The Wharf—and in autumn, you can capture stunning views of red leaves 🍁! But since we visited during the day, it was pretty quiet outside and a bit too sunny, so we moved indoors. The interior design totally blew me away too! 😍 We only found out upon arrival that they’re participating in Restaurant Week—and it lasts until the end of the month! 🍷 Cocktails are pretty pricey—mostly 20+, some even 40—but they sure don’t skimp on the alcohol 🫡. After just two drinks, we were both feeling a bit tipsy! I tried the Butterfly Bloom (really tasty!), while the other one tasted like medicine—we both agreed on that 😅. 🫛 We shared Spicy Edamame as a snack—the seasoning was delicious! Perfect with drinks. 🥟 I ordered the Seafood Dumplings—super tasty, but the portion was pretty small. 🍣 He got sushi and said it was really good! 🍚 I had the Pork Belly Fried Rice—aaaah, I loved it! Generous portion, full of flavor—I didn’t leave a single grain 😋. It was savory and fragrant but not greasy, and it came with a soft-boiled egg. Highly recommend!! 🍮 Yuzu Cream Puff: So refreshing and summery! Tart and cooling, with a lightly sweet sauce underneath 💛. Matcha Cake: Also delicious—matcha cream with red bean filling, not too rich 💚. But I’d say the yuzu puff was more unique! The decor is absolutely beautiful—super romantic, great for dates 💙. I’ll definitely come back at night next time!
