Delicious Mexican Food Hidden Near Chicago Outlets! 🌮
We hit the outlets every Black Friday, but the food options inside are pretty bleak — and shopping is exhausting! This year we wandered into a nearby plaza and stumbled upon this amazing Mexican spot. Packed even in the afternoon — highly recommended for anyone hitting the outlets! Today’s Menu 🍽️ 🔥 Fajita: Chicken & Steak Combo Sizzling platter with a smoky charcoal aroma. Tender chicken and steak over grilled onions and peppers — served with hummus, rice, and tortillas (wrapped up, it’s delicious!). 🌮 Al Pastor Taco Highly recommend — juicy marinated pork with sweet grilled pineapple. Huge portion. 🐟 Fish Taco We chose fried fish — the spicy sauce cuts through the richness. Fish is soft and fresh, also generously sized. 🌽 Mexican Street Corn (Esquites) A savory‑tangy starter made with starchy corn (not sweet corn). 🥤 Jarrito Classic Mexican soda — super fizzy. 🍍 Fizzy Piña Colada A mix of pineapple soda and cream — great if you like creamy, tropical drinks. Key Details 📍 🍴 Restaurant: Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar 📍 Address: 5433 Park Pl, Rosemont, IL 60018 (chain, but this is the outlet‑adjacent one) 💰 Price: $35‑40 per person. We just wanted a quick bite, but the food was surprisingly outstanding — no wonder it has a 4.8‑star Google rating! Lots of people were ordering cocktails too. Next time I’m at the outlets, I might come just for this place! What are your favorite Mexican spots in Chicago or the suburbs?
