Hope this can be a reference for friends planning to visit recently～ August 9th: Shanghai - Calgary✈️ Pick up the car at the airport: Rental Car Center Avis🚗 Stay at Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel in Calgary🏨 Dinner: Chinese food in downtown Calgary🍚 August 10th: Calgary Shopping at T&T Supermarket (mineral water, fruits, self-heating hotpots)🛒 Enter Banff in the afternoon (buy park tickets online in advance)🎫 Two Jack Lake (very beautiful) - Lake Minnewanka (just so-so)💧 Dinner at Brazen in the town: The tartare in Picture 8 is super delicious😋 Stay at Hotel Canoe and Suites in Banff🏨 August 11th: Banff Morning: Vermilion Lakes - Surprise Corner📸 Bow Fall on the opposite bank - Town Garden - Fairmont Hotel 🏰 14:30: Sulphur Mountain Gondola (buy tickets and book time online in advance)🚠 Dinner at The Maple Leaf in the town🥩 Stay at Hotel Canoe and Suites in Banff🏨 August 12th: Banff Morning: Peyto Lake (with a short uphill climb) + Bow Lake (there's an observation deck for Crowfoot Glacier by the road; Bow Lake is stunning)✨ Afternoon: Canoeing on Moraine Lake + Lake Louise (snag last-minute shuttle bus tickets at 8 am two days in advance)🚣‍♀️ Park the self-driving car at Lake Louise Ski Resort's Park and Ride; exchange shuttle tickets there🅿️ (It's the Fairmont Hotel restaurant by Lake Louise; the restaurant is semi-open, and you can take photos of the large window outside the restaurant) Dinner: Chinese food at Feng Wei Ju in the town🍜 Stay at Hotel Canoe and Suites in Banff🏨 August 13th: Banff Emerald Lake (stunning, can canoe and cheaper than Moraine Lake) + Natural Bridge + Takakkaw Falls (just so-so)🌿 Dinner: Zyka Indian Cuisine in the town🍛 Stay at Hotel Canoe and Suites in Banff🏨 August 14th: Banff Morning: Mistaya Canyon (requires a little hiking)🥾 Afternoon: Icefields Parkway Tour + Skywalk (buy tickets and book time in advance; the sun is dazzling on the icefield, remember to wear sunglasses😎; it's windy, so it's recommended to bring a knit hat or tie your hair up to prevent it from flying around when taking photos)❄️ Dinner in Lake Louise Town🍽️ Stay at Lake Louise Inn in Lake Louise Town (booked temporarily, but surprisingly, it's a loft room)😲 August 15th: Icefields Bow Lake (there's a road leading to the lake) - Afternoon tea by the lake☕️ Stay at Glacier View Lodge (the hotel has very few rooms, so be sure to book well in advance; but you can sneak up to take photos of the large window even if you don't stay here)🏔️ August 16th: Glacier View Lodge - Calgary Stop at Canmore for lunch at Phoenix Asia (the Chinese food here is authentic, definitely satisfying for Chinese taste buds)👍 Dinner at the core shopping mall in downtown Calgary🛍️ Return the car at the airport🚗 21:00: Fly to Vancouver✈️ #banff #jasper #IcefieldsParkway #BanffNationalPark #LesserKnownTravelSpots #TravelGuide
