Dining Diary | DC | Finally Felt Like a Rich Menu-Sweeper 😭

🌟Never thought the day would come when I could just point at the menu and say, “One of each, please.” 🌟Turns out it was a big misunderstanding. Since we had a dinner plans during happy hour, we were planning to order a couple of small dishes. My friend said to get one of each from the left column of the menu (just two items), but the server thought we meant one of each from the happy hour menu… 🌟Let’s just say, luckily there were only four dishes, and fortunately, it was just happy hour 😅 🌟But the food was indeed delicious! Not going to complain about that hhhh 🌟Indian cuisine is all about carbs with sauce, or fried food with sauce. 🌟For the appetizers, we originally ordered a fried paneer roll and a spicy fried chicken. Both were delicious. The roll was very flavorful, not too heavy, with some vegetables along with the paneer. The fried chicken, my friend said, was like chicken popcorn from Dunkin’ Donuts but with an Indian-style sauce hhh 🌟The other two appetizers were naan with three types of sauce and a mixed puffed rice. The naan arrived nice and hot, with typical Indian-style sauces like masala, spinach, and a lentil sauce. Warm, soft bread with rich sauce, how could it not be good? 🌟The puffed rice was quite magical. It had fried rice with various nuts, tomato dice, pineapple dice… a whole bunch of stuff. Although it sounds like a strange combination, it was surprisingly refreshing and delicious, with rich textures and flavors! 🌟For the main course, I ordered lamb with an onion and cashew sauce, and my friend had grilled salmon with pineapple. Both were good! But because we had so many appetizers, we couldn’t finish the main course 😅 I took half of the lamb back home. #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGem #IndianCuisine #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCFood #Arlington #DMVFoodExploration
