DMV | Mango Sticky Rice & Coconut Ice Cream at Baan Siam, Washington
For my last meal in Washington, I chose a Thai restaurant, and it really hit the spot. I’ve had a lot of Western food in Washington, which was good, but I was craving something different. 🌸 Fried Rice with Crispy Pork Belly The fried rice with eggs, shrimp, and crispy pork belly was amazing. The rice was perfectly cooked, with each grain distinct and infused with the flavors of eggs and shrimp. The crispy pork belly was the star—crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich meaty aroma. The combination of the crispy pork and the fried rice was unstoppable. 🍱 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice When I got tired of the crispy pork belly fried rice, I ordered the mango sticky rice. The sticky rice was sweet and savory, perfectly balanced, and one serving was definitely not enough for two people. The mango was refreshing and helped cut through the richness, while the coconut milk added a rich, flavorful touch. This dish is a must-order! Not every Thai restaurant gets it right, but Baan Siam nailed it. 🥭 🥥 Coconut Milk Griddle Snack The coconut ice cream was topped with coconut jelly and nuts. The coconut flavor was strong and refreshing, making it a perfect dessert. 🍵 #MangoStickyRice #WashingtonDCThaiFood #WashingtonDCCuisine #DMVEats #ThaiFood #FoodieDaily #WashingtonFood #HiddenGemRestaurant #BaanSiamDC
