DMV Area · Wild Country Seafood 🦀🌊
My friends came to visit me in Baltimore for Juneteenth! 🎉 Feeling like the only thing worth showing off here is seafood—Wild Country Seafood is a bit of a local网红 (hot spot)! It’s a family-owned shop by local fishermen, making up for the disappointment of missing it last time on our trip to Assateague Island. 🏝️😌 📍 124 Bay Shore Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403 Their Google business hours aren’t always accurate—better check their official website or call ahead to confirm. In the summer, they’re open every day! The location is right by the harbor—truly “catch-to-table” freshness! 🎣🍽️ Even though it’s not peak blue crab season right now, their crabs are incredibly fresh! 🦀 The oysters are even more impressive—big, cheap, and super fresh at just $1.50 each—a price you can’t even find during happy hour elsewhere! We loved them so much we bought two dozen more for a BBQ the next day! 🔥🧄 Three of us easily spent over $100—no regrets! 💸😋 The oyster sizes vary, but each one feels plump and ready to burst! Occasionally you might get a smaller one, but most are generously filled. Slurping a big oyster straight into your mouth and chewing is pure heaven! 🌊👅 No fishy taste—just a clean, juicy burst. Eating them plain might be a bit simple, but with cocktail sauce and lemon? Perfect! 🍋🥫 We ordered large crabs—they were a bit smaller than “large” sizes elsewhere, but the meat was unbelievably fresh! We didn’t want to waste a single bit, even from the legs! The big chunks of body meat slid right out of the shell. 🦀💥 Their Old Bay seasoning is used sparingly—not overly salty, so you can actually taste the crab’s natural sweetness. That’s rare in the U.S.! Prices vary by season—you can always call and ask. 📞💬 We also got a fried platter—nothing special, just okay. The only standout was the crab cake—the crab meat was finely shredded but bouncy and fresh, with a totally unique flavor compared to other places. Oh, and they have this homemade salad dressing/egg sauce—amazing with fried food! We saw several people buying it by the container! 🥡✨ #DMVFoodAndFun #DMVEats #SeafoodLovers #EatByTheWater #DMVFoodReview #Foodie #DMVArea #WeeklyFoodCheck #BaltimoreEats #Annapolis #FreshSeafood #LocalGem #CrabSeason #OysterHeaven #JuneteenthFeast #HarborSideDining #CatchToTable #FamilyOwned #SeafoodSpot
