DMV Food Review|Gyuzo Japanese BBQ 🥩🔥

We opted for the $68 Premium Set this time. At this restaurant, each person can order three items per round, and as soon as one round is fully served, you can immediately order the next. The service was excellent—dishes came out quickly, and the staff frequently checked if we needed more food or grill changes. The overall taste was great, and this is definitely a BBQ spot we’ll revisit! 👍🍖 Before changing the grill plate, the staff always brushed on a layer of oil and put on a little fire show—full of atmosphere! 🔥🎭 The sashimi was cut thick and tasted very fresh. 🐟🍣 For the Wagyu section, the only one we weren’t fond of was the short rib cube. It was too large and fatty, and after grilling, it felt a bit greasy. My friend even joked, “This would be better stewed with potatoes at home.” 🥔😂 But if you’re a fat lover, you might enjoy it! The other three sliced Wagyu cuts were delicious, especially the boneless short rib—tender and chewy. 🥩💫 Besides Wagyu, we tried almost all the beef options: ribeye, Gyuzo steak, boneless short rib, filet, sirloin, and brisket. Honestly, after grilling, the differences were subtle—all were quite tasty! The only letdown was the filet, which turned out tough and lacked flavor. I even double-checked the table card to make sure it really was filet. 🤔📋 We both agreed that the best items were the beef tongue 👅 and the squid 🦑! The beef tongue was so good we devoured five plates without getting tired of it. The squid was marinated with a slight spiciness—a very pleasant surprise! 🌶️😋 For appetizers, we only tried the Miso Butter Mussels—unique in flavor, savory with a hint of sweetness. We finished it so fast we forgot to take a photo! 🐚📸 For veggies, we ordered the truffle mushroom 🍄—I loved it! The bitter aroma of black truffle was captivating, though my friend thought it was just okay. Definitely a personal preference item. Note: when grilling mushrooms, keep them at the edge of the grill—they catch fire easily because of the oil! Also, they cook super fast—the server said just 45 seconds. ⏳🔥 Dessert was Mochi Ice Cream in mango, chocolate, and red bean flavors. We agreed chocolate was the best—balanced bitterness and sweetness with a smooth texture. Eat it right away, or the filling will melt! 🍫❄️ The mango flavor was intense, almost like Trader Joe’s mango popsicles. The red bean one needs to sit a bit—otherwise, the filling is still frozen and too hard. 🥭🔴 In short: When you run into trouble, go eat—everything will turn out fine in the end! 🌞💖 #YakitoriLover #JapaneseBBQ #WagyuGrill #Gyuzo #MeatLovers #GrillMaster #DMVFood #BBQTime #FoodReview #EatHappy #JapaneseCuisine #PremiumDining #GoodVibes #TastyTreats #DCeats
