DMV Food Review | New AYCE Sushi Spot Near Baltimore! 🍣
Restaurant: Kanji Sushi AYCE This might be one of the best all-you-can-eat sushi spots I’ve tried in the DMV — great balance of quality and value! 💯 The interior is beautifully decorated, and the AYCE price is 30 (without sashimi), or 35 with sashimi included. Considering many sushi places easily run over $50 per person, this is a solid deal! 🎉 🥗 Appetizers 1. Yellowtail Jalapeño This is a must-try! 🐟 The yellowtail is sliced thin and semi-translucent with a natural glossy sheen. Topped with fresh jalapeño — slightly spicy but so fragrant! 2. Pepper Tuna Looks like a tuna "steak" with a black pepper crust — seared on the outside, bright red inside. The pepper flavor is strong but not overwhelming, and the fish stays tender. 🍣 Sashimi The sashimi here really stands out for an AYCE place — fresh, nicely cut, and generously thick. Highly recommend: Salmon, Squid, White Tuna, and Red Clam! 🐠🔪 🍙 Sushi / Nigiri The nigiri is another highlight! I tried the salmon, squid, and white tuna — all great. The rice is perfectly seasoned: not too soft, hard, or sour. A real win! 🍚❤️ 🍱 Teriyaki / Hibachi 🥩 Teriyaki Steak A flavorful, tender steak with sweet teriyaki glaze and a light smoky note. Not overly sweet — really well-balanced! 🥦 Hibachi Vegetables Stir-fried broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, bean sprouts, and cabbage — cooked just right, not mushy! The broccoli stays crisp and bright green. 🥬 🍣 Special Roll: Butterfly Roll For those who love sweet and creative rolls — this one’s a showstopper! 🦋 Made with mango and avocado, wrapped in pink soy paper, and drizzled with mango sauce. Tropical and refreshing! Have you been here yet? What’s your favorite AYCE sushi place in the area?
