Han Gang is a long-standing Korean restaurant where you’ll always see well-dressed Korean businessmen (ajusshis) having meetings in the private rooms. 👔💼 Why has it stood the test of time and remains a favorite among ajusshis? Here’s my take: • A wide variety of dishes 🍲 • Consistently high quality 🥢 • Attentive service from the Korean aunties 👵❤️ • Open until after 10 PM 🌙 Doesn’t that make it worthy of the DMV Korean Honor Student award? 🎓✨ While it might feel a bit traditional, almost everything on the menu is delicious—hardly any disappointments! ✅ Having lived in DC for eight years (including two years away for my MBA 🎒), I’ve eaten here at least thirty times. If you finish work late and crave warm Korean food but other places are closed, and you don’t want heavy BBQ smells or mediocre alternatives—Han Gang is your best choice! 🌃🍚 My personal favorites: • Seafood Hot Pot 🦐🐙 – Loaded with fresh seafood; the broth becomes incredibly flavorful after simmering. • Grilled Meat No.1 🥩 – Classic and satisfying. • New dish: Potato and Beef Stew 🥔🐂 – Must add cheese! The auntie will torch it for you—so melty! The beef is incredibly tender and rich in flavor. • Beef Intestine Hot Pot 🍲 – Great for offal lovers, though it can get salty toward the end. • Seafood Scallion Pancake 🥞🌊 – Crispy and packed with goodies. Every meal comes with complimentary side dishes.
