馃АAddress: Via del Corso, 305, 00186 Roma RM The Doria Pamphilj Gallery, housed within the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj in Rome, is one of the largest private art galleries in the city and belongs to the Italian noble Doria-Pamphilj family. 馃挓Its history dates back to the 17th century, though it officially opened to the public in the late 20th century. 馃尩The building itself is a Renaissance-style palace, originally the 16th-century residence of Cardinal Fazio Santoro, which was later transformed into the private mansion of the Doria-Pamphilj family in the late 17th century. 猸愶笍The gallery comprises four exhibition halls, two grand salons, nine independent suites, a chapel, and an archive. 馃敟The collection primarily features European paintings, sculptures, and furniture, including works by masters such as Caravaggio, Raphael, Bernini, and Titian. 鉁匩otably, three of Caravaggio鈥檚 paintings are displayed on a dedicated wall with explanatory plaques.
