Eating & Drinking in Evanston (Northwestern University) 🏫🍽️
First time in Evanston—staying downtown was super convenient. Everything was within walking distance: campus, restaurants, you name it! 🌟 Trattoria Demi – Italian spot (forgot to take pics!). Pasta was tasty but not handmade, so not mind-blowing. Portions are huge though—I couldn’t finish a small portion! 🌟 Tapas Barcelona – Decent tapas place. The Pulpito a la Plancha (grilled baby octopus) stood out—super flavorful, and even the lettuce underneath soaked up the sauce deliciously. The snails were pretty good too. 🌟 Frida’s Breakfast & Lunch – A cozy little brunch spot. Good food, generous portions, and affordable!😂🙌 🌟 Cupitol Coffee & Eatery – Café with bakery and brunch options. Even on a weekday morning, it was lively and buzzing. 🌟 The Barn Steakhouse – Chosen for a friend’s wedding dinner—apparently they tried many places before picking this. From the outside it looks like an old warehouse, but inside it’s a whole different vibe. The simple filet mignon blew me away—they didn’t even ask for doneness, but it came out perfectly cooked and delicious. Feels like a true local hidden gem—even some Evanston locals didn’t know about it! I really loved Evanston—quiet, safe, beautiful lakeside views, and so many gorgeous houses around. #Northwestern #NorthwesternUniversity #Chicago #ChicagoEats #Evanston #EvanstonFood 🍴✨
