Eating Affordable French Cuisine During Restaurant Week

A French Spot I’ve Visited for Houston Restaurant Week 3 Years Straight! Their 3-course lunch is only $25—such a steal!🍐🎼 This place nails it with affordability, generous portions, a cozy Parisian bistro vibe, and it’s perfect for a girls’ brunch or lunch date. I’m lucky enough to get a window seat every time—there’s a park right across the street .🙉🙉 Dining with that view puts me in such a good mood, and we can even take a walk to digest afterward.🌷🌷 ⚠️ Pro tip: Make a reservation in advance! It gets crowded during Restaurant Week, and walk-ins have to wait. Between lunch and brunch (served noon on weekends), I definitely recommend brunch—their complimentary bread is way better! You’ll get a flaky pastry, a pineapple bun-like bread 🥧, and a blueberry muffin 🫐. If they forget to bring it, just ask the server—I’m not shy about that, haha.🌻🌻 🌸🌸 My main course—Sole Meunière (pan-fried sole). My absolute favorite main here! It’s rich with butter, and the fish 🐟 is super tender. The roasted veggies on top were delicious too—I ate every bite. My friend got the Salmon BLT and had to take leftovers because the portion was huge.🌲🌲 Apps—Escargot (snails 🐌) and Burrata (fresh cheese), both amazing! The escargot is incredible—perfectly seasoned, with a fantastic mix of garlic, parsley, and olive oil. Don’t waste the leftover olive oil—dip your bread in it, it’s so flavorful! Steak Tartare (a must-follow “rule” for me). This has to be ordered a la carte or as an add-on to the lunch menu. 👉👈 The meat has a nice chunky texture 👍🏼, mixed with classic French ingredients and a quail egg—no complaints here. I once took the metro for 30 minutes alone from school just to have a bite of this tartare 🤠. Duck Confit (slow-cooked duck leg 🍗). Duck is usually a must-order for me at French restaurants, but this one’s just so-so. I’ve tried it twice—it’s not bad, but sometimes it’s a bit dry if the cooking time’s off.🍛🍛 ☕️ Other recommendations: Their seafood pasta 🍝 (not on the Restaurant Week menu, but available a la carte) is great. I’ve also had their crab cake before—super tasty.🍧 Desserts 🍮 are solid. This time we got crème brûlée and chocolate mousse 🍫. Check out the Restaurant Week brunch menu—tons of options! For $25, you get complimentary bread + app + main + dessert. It’s easily the best deal during Restaurant Week—I always leave full and feeling like I got a great value 🫦. #HoustonFood #Houston
