Eats Abroad: Rockport One-Day Trip🏖️Eat, Drink & Explore

Eats Abroad: Rockport One-Day Trip🏖️Eat, Drink & Explore|Boston Area Food & Travel Guide! Labor Day calls for a day out! Took the Purple Line straight to Rockport, and the weather was perfect—sunny with a cool sea breeze, making me feel super happy~ 😆 This town may be small, but there are tons of places to eat and explore! Walking on the cobblestones, looking at the colorful cottages and lively shops, it somehow feels like wandering through an ancient town street in China. Calling it "Boston’s version of Ciqikou" is totally accurate! 🦞 Roy Moore Lobster Company|Century-Old Lobster Shop, Hot Lobster Roll Steals the Show! The first stop in Rockport must be this century-old lobster shop! We each ordered a lobster roll : hot lobster roll for $32, cold lobster roll for $30—let the seafood feast begin! First, let’s praise the hot lobster roll! The bread is fried golden and crispy with butter, making a "crunch" when you bite into it. It’s stuffed with firm, plump lobster meat—so much that you can’t fit a bite in your mouth. The buttery aroma mixes with the sweet freshness of the lobster, so delicious it makes you want to dance! 🦞 The cold lobster roll is also good, with springier meat and a fresh sea taste, but eating cold food in the morning feels less comforting, so this Sichuan girl definitely votes for the hot lobster roll! The matching chips are salty, crispy and thin, and the coleslaw (cabbage salad) is fresh and refreshing. The combination of salty and sweet hits the taste buds perfectly—this is the joy of "salty-sweet dynamo," who understands! Sitting by the beach, biting into the lobster roll while the sea breeze blows, it’s so cozy you won’t want to leave~ 🌊 ☕️ Bean&Leaf Cafe|$3+ Iced Mocha, Tiramisu Cup Is Take-Home! After eating lobster, we definitely need a place to rest! This cafe is a "treasure resting spot"—we ordered an iced mocha for just over $3, the value is unbeatable! It’s smooth with a strong chocolate flavor, and one sip is super refreshing~ 😋 We also ordered a tiramisu for just over $5, a bit sweet but still delicious. The bigger surprise: the glass cup holding the tiramisu is actually take-home! I was shocked! The shop has restrooms and sea-view tables. When you’re tired, sit down, look at the sea and drink coffee. Even if you don’t know where to go for a while, resting here is super comfortable—it’s a proper "charging station"~ 📸 🍦 The Ice Cream Store|Century-Old Ice Cream Shop, Decent but Not Mind-Blowing! After resting, it’s time to check in at this famous century-old ice cream shop~ The ice cream is indeed creamy, but to be honest, it’s not particularly amazing—it’s just normally delicious~ 😂 Maybe the froyo (frozen yogurt) is more special? Friends who have tried it can share their thoughts! We ordered the strawberry cheesecake flavor, the portion is super generous. We didn’t choose the cone because we were afraid it would be hard to hold (after all, we still need to shop, and we don’t want to be in a mess~), eating from the cup is also happy! 🛍️ Shopping Time|Handicraft Shops, Jewelry Stores, Can’t Stop Exploring! With ice cream in hand, it’s time to start the "street shopping mode"! There are so many handicraft shops, jewelry stores, and shops selling all kinds of small gadgets in the town—hand-painted coastal postcards, small shell crafts, hand-woven tapestries... Every item hits my "shopping DNA," and I wish I could take all my favorites home! 🥰 Walking, shopping, eating and looking around, it’s so relaxing~ 🍧 Lucido‘s Gelateria|Grab Gelato on the Way Back, Tips for Flavor Matching! How can we end the trip without dessert on the way back? This Italian gelato shop is a must-visit! Low-calorie and delicious, we chose three flavors: Nutella (chocolate hazelnut), pistachio, and vanilla bean~ Friendly tip: The vanilla bean flavor has a hint of cinnamon, not everyone will like it, so it’s not recommended; the pistachio flavor is super rich and amazing; we also tried the passion fruit flavor (incredibly delicious)! When you go, if you order three scoops, you can choose one fruit flavor and two milk flavors—this combination is better! The portion is also super large, it’s worth eating until you’re full~ 😜 Little Easter Egg: Funny Photos on the Beach! You can also take funny photos on the beach—I have them, but I won’t post them... (hehe~) ps: You can find all the addresses by searching the names 🏡! Rockport is a great choice for a weekend escape from Boston—great value, beautiful scenery, and you can enjoy it without a car. After returning to Boston, you can also go to DT to play~ #BostonFood#Rockport#BostonFoodie
