Bean & Leaf Cafe — Restaurant in Rockport

We were so happy to visit Rockport and we saw great reviews of this place. My family and I walked in and the lady was so rude to my wife. It’s almost as she has something against foreigners as I heard her speaking very loudly and in a rude manner to my wife. My wife told me she was staring at me and my kids taking a look at their decor and giving us mean looks. We did not give our business for this reason as racism is something we do not tolerate. She was a blonde lady and she’s very loud, you can’t miss her. I doubt she’s the owner because owners we met around the shops have been very courteous. My experience at this coffee shop was incredibly disappointing. Despite arriving well before closing time, the staff made it very clear we were not welcome. They were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional — acting as if serving us was an inconvenience.

Instead of offering the full menu, they only tried to push whatever they wanted to get rid of, with zero courtesy or explanation. When we asked questions, their responses were blunt and unhelpful, with attitude that made the entire visit uncomfortable.

A coffee place should be welcoming — this one was anything but. There are plenty of spots with better coffee and respectful service. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values good treatment and a decent...

YUCK! This place was recommended by Rockport Inn and Suites and I have no idea why. I ordered two roast beef wraps which came with very little roast beef, no boursin, and a lot of salad with some sort of sweet and sour sauce on the way too much lettuce. Yuck! I was shorted a potato chip (which came with the sandwich - two sandwiches). I also got a piece of lemon sour cream coffee cake which was so sweet it was not edible. I was getting takeout. I am handicapped and need handicapped parking. There is no parking. The space cadets working there have no sense of time or space or reality. Dumber than dumb. I would never go back.
