Elske | First Visit to Chicago’s Michelin-Starred Gem ⭐
Steamed Halibut – cooked just right, tender and silky. Rich buttery aroma paired well with crunchy pecans, brightened by a hint of grapefruit. Grilled Fjord Trout – pretty standard, lightly charred. Came with two textures of carrots—one sweet, one crisp. Very sweet overall.👍😘 Roasted Lamb Loin & Lamb Sausage – loin was tender and not gamey, complemented by smoky date purée. Sausage was rich with a subtle fennel note. Duck Liver Tart – smooth, no off-flavors, nice with bread. Wish the crust had been crispier.❤️😁 Fried Sunchokes – seasoned with lemon, chives, and onion. For a veggie dish, it tasted oddly like cod. Palate Cleanser – fennel and mint soft candy.😊👌 Whipped Cheesecake with Rhubarb – too sweet with caramel at the bottom. Not my favorite. Tea & Amuse-bouche – tea smelled smoky but tasted more like vegetable broth. Interior – Nordic-inspired, both in food and decor. Simple, elegant, with cozy candlelight. Loved the atmosphere. #MichelinStar #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #FineDining #ElskeChicago 🕯️
