Family Trip to Atlanta
Day 1️⃣: First Encounter with Atlanta Morning: Direct flight from JFK to Atlanta. Just a two-hour flight. Checked out the world’s busiest airport—Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Afternoon: Headed straight to Stone Mountain Park. ✨The park is huge and well-landscaped, not just around the mountain itself. We didn’t take the cable car but climbed the mountain directly. It’s not very high, and as a monolithic rock, the mountain has lots of small pits and ancient "cliff inscriptions." The rocks are a bit slippery. Both my 8-year-old and 6-year-old kids made it to the top, and my 70-year-old mother-in-law managed about 7/8 of the way. Day 2️⃣: Ocean vs. Cola Morning: Georgia Aquarium Ticket Tips: With CityPASS, you need an extra ticket exchange to enter the aquarium. Show Seating: Reserve seats online for the dolphin and sea lion shows on the day of your visit. I set an alarm to book at midnight. For the dolphin show, the front middle section is the splash zone. ✨👿Afternoon: World of Coca-Cola✨ Highlight: Unlimited tastings of over 100 beverages from around the world; you can also take photos with the polar bear mascot at set times. Personal Thoughts: I was very excited when I visited over a decade ago, but now I find the Coca-Cola Center a bit boring and overly commercialized. #Atlanta #AtlantaTravel #GeorgiaAquarium #AtlantaLife
