Inspired by The Bear’s Feast of the Seven Fishes, many Chicago restaurants offered special menus this Christmas Eve. I chose Segnatore — close to home and reasonably priced. 🧈 Focaccia + Uni Butter – Toasty focaccia with rich, briny uni butter — so good I took the leftover butter home. 🐟 Fried Cod Balls + Trout Roe – Crispy outside, tender inside — sweet and savory. 🦑 Calamari Salad with Orange, Celery, Chili – Tangy, spicy, refreshing. 🦀 Seared Scallop + Crab + Breadcrumbs – Crispy topping, sweet seafood — a perfect bite. 🥟 Lobster Ravioli – Packed with meat, soft pasta — Asian-palate-friendly. 🐠 Grilled Black Cod + Clams in Spicy Sauce – Spicy outside, sweet inside — dip in sauce for balance. 🍮 Eggnog Panna Cotta – Very sweet (holiday-style), but festive in flavor.
