Finally Checked In to Burlingtonšļø & DT "A BBQ" š¢ Burlington Spencer Smith Park š æļøAddress: 430 Brock Ave. Free parking on weekends, but spots are tight š±This popular beach has 11k reviews on Google, about a 1-hour driveš from Toronto š±Thereās a huge, fun pirate shipš-themed playground that kids will love š±The beach is small, next to the pier, with fine sand and clean, shallow water. Bring buckets and shovelsākids can play for hours š±There are over a dozen cherry blossom trees in the park onshore. Cherry petals falling against the lake view is absolutely stunning š±We caught an art and craft exhibition when we visited, and the rainbowš houses by the pier were gorgeous! š±If youāre with kids, stop by the nearby RBG Center, which has a great Natural Playground (680 Plains Rd, W, Burlington) š¢Toronto DT "A BBQ" Iād heard so much about this spot, so we checked it out on our way back. Itās really popularāwe waited a bit even on a Sunday night in downtown. Everything we ordered was amazing, and the food came out super fastādefinitely worth a visit! š¢Skewers Highly recommend lamb skewers, beef heart tubes, beef tendons, and cilantro tofu skin. All are perfectly grilled, with great color, aroma, and flavor. The lamb skewers are tender with a mix of fat and lean, charred on the outside. They also provide extra BBQ seasoning and chili flakes for those who like stronger flavorsāso thoughtful š¢Duck Blood Vermicelli Soup My favorite! The duck blood in this bowl was more than the vermicelliādefinitely the star. Roasted in foil, itās fragrant and flavorful, so satisfying to eat š¢New Item: Grilled Lamb Chops Cooked to perfection, with generous portions. Would be even better with a bit more seasoning š¢Grilled Scallops The scallops are clean, tender, and flavorful, with plenty of garlicāso aromatic š¢Cheese-Baked Corn Who wouldnāt love this? After spicy BBQ, the sweet, creamy, slightly charred cheese corn is the perfect finishš š¢Dumpling Soup (Geda Tang) Originally ordered for the kids, but it was a nice surpriseāmy husband and I each had a big bowl, and there was enough left to take home. Tangy and appetizing, authentic tasteāhighly recommend! āāā10% off with cash, and extra discount for students. I noticed a poster by the door with JellyCat little coffee mugsātheyāre having a lucky draw during their anniversary week at the end of May!
