Food & Drink Diary|DC|Cocktails with Red Oil Wontons 🍸🌶️
📍 Copycat This combo might just be unique to them 😂 We originally planned to go somewhere nearby, but that place had no seats and terrible ventilation—so we ended up at Copycat. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too crowded, and we got seated right away! Their drink menu is seriously creative—it’s written on a chalkboard wall (though you can also scan a QR code for a PDF version 😂). Part of it features classic cocktails, part is signature mixes, and there’s even a huge mind map for Daiquiris—showing how to add or swap ingredients based on the traditional recipe. Super unique and imaginative! But if it’s your first time, it might feel a bit overwhelming 😂 We ordered two signature cocktails and two Daiquiris—and loved them all ❤️ Their specials have a tiki vibe, and they definitely don’t skimp on the alcohol! For Daiquiris, we tried the Honeybee and Detroit Daisy—both fantastic! Since they’re quite sweet and tangy, I found myself craving something salty while drinking…and ended up munching on way too many goldfish crackers 😅 Their Sichuan food is also really good—way above average for DC Chinese food. I wasn’t even hungry when we arrived, but my boyfriend insisted we try a couple dishes…and they were delicious! Spicy Sichuan flavors paired surprisingly well with the sweet-and-sour cocktails. Before I knew it, I was happily digging into a late-night snack 😭 It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and drinks! My only complaint: it’s LOUD in there—the music is blasting, so everyone has to shout, making the whole space even noisier 😂 But other than that, no real complaints! 📷 iPhone 15 Pro Have you been to Copycat?
