Modavie ⭐️⭐️ A popular French spot in Old Montreal, but overpriced for the quality. ✔️ Sweetbread (offal) appetizer – Surprisingly delicious. ❌ Lamb chops – Bland with weirdly sour sauce. ❌ Foie gras – Greasy and fishy. Hard pass. 2. L'Express ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ BEST bang for your buck! ✔️ Chicken liver pâté – To die for. ✔️ Duck confit – Crispy skin, flavorful meat. ✔️ Roasted quail – Unique and delicious (though wild rice was too hard). ✔️ Free pickles! 🥒 And amazing service. 3. Dunn’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Montreal’s famous smoked meat—must-try, but not the best. ✔️ Dunn’s Special sandwich – Good flavor, but a bit dry. ✔️ Upgrade fries to poutine! 4. La Maison Kim Fung ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HUGE portions of Cantonese food! ✔️ Chicken & jellyfish salad – A must-order. ✔️ Garlic gai lan – $14 for a mountain of greens. ❌ Tofu stuffed with shrimp – Meh. 5. La Cave à Manger ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wheel croissant = DREAM COME TRUE! 🥐 ✔️ Stuffed to the max – Share it or regret it. ✔️ Coffee’s great too. 6. Olive + Gourmando ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brunch vibes, but inconsistent. ✔️ Sconewitch – Savory + jam = weirdly good. ❌ Granola – Not enough yogurt. ❌ Almond croissant – Tasted like a donut. 7. Cafe Olimpico ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PLEASE OPEN IN THE U.S.! 🇺🇸 ✔️ Coffee ice cream – Best ever. ✔️ Tiramisu – Perfect. ✔️ Freddo coffee – Just like Italy’s. 8.
