🌿 Foraging on the Island | Alameda Northern Cuisine Check-In
Today, I suddenly decided to check out this Northern Chinese restaurant! It was a spontaneous decision, but the experience exceeded my expectations ✨ 🍃 Environment When we arrived, the restaurant was packed with people. The space is small, so we were initially seated outdoors, but it was really cold 😮💨. Later, as more customers kept coming, we were moved indoors after the first dish was served. The overall vibe was bustling and lively. 🍬 Service The service was truly praiseworthy! The lady who moved us indoors was very thoughtful, helping us carry dishes and keeping the atmosphere warm and friendly. There was also a Chinese auntie who had a warm smile—she stood out among other Chinese restaurants and made me feel like tipping extra would be a great idea 👍 🍛 Recommended Dishes Lamb Noodle Soup (Must-Try!) The handmade noodles are absolutely amazing! We sat right next to the kitchen and watched the chef stretching the noodles by hand—they’re so chewy and elastic 🍜. The soup is packed with rich lamb flavor and a hint of cumin, so I drank multiple bowls without getting tired! The lamb is tender and slightly crisp, not tough at all. Cumin Lamb Meat Sandwich I’ve been obsessed with cumin recently, and this sandwich hit the spot! Although the meat wasn’t too juicy, the cumin flavor paired perfectly with the onion, making every bite fragrant and satisfying 🌶️ Cold Noodles with Chili Sauce The seasoning could be a bit spicier, but the current flavor is still totally acceptable. They’re refreshing and light, and I finished them in just a few bites—perfect for summer! Overall, I’m super satisfied! It’s just as good as the famous Xi’an-style restaurant in New York, but way more affordable. It’s definitely worth a repeat visit 💯 #Food #BayAreaFood #Foodie #WeekendVibes #AlamedaEats #NorthernChineseFood #LambNoodleSoup #MeatSandwich
