Forbes Ranks America’s Top Colleges—2 Illinois Universities Land in the Top 20
Suppose you’re considering attending college in the Midwest. In that case, look at these Illinois schools, which have been recognized as some of the nation’s most esteemed higher education institutions. Forbes recently released its list of “America’s Top Colleges,” ranking higher education institutions based on average student debt levels, return on investment, and graduate outcomes. Two Illinois institutions are among the best -------------------------------------------- Two institutions earned a spot in the top 20 of this new ranking. First, the University of Chicago, ranking No. 13 on the nationwide list, is the highest-ranked institution in the Midwest. Second, Northwestern University, ranked No. 16, according to Forbes. Only one other institution in Illinois made the top 100 out of the 500: The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The university clinched the 38th spot.
