Golden Hour in Marseille

Marseille, you truly feel like a goddess of beauty descending in August. At six o'clock, the sun transitions from scorching to gentle. The Marseille I once disliked, the one I thought was unsafe, turns out to be so dazzling along the French Riviera! My previous visits to Marseille left me with nothing but bad impressions—stories of insecurity I’d heard and the chaos and noise I’d witnessed in the old town. But this time, its undeniable beauty completely overturned all those negative thoughts in an instant.💕 So if you ever go to Marseille, make sure to take the 83 bus at the Vieux-Port. Ride along the coast, getting off at each stop to take in the views. The half-hour journey offers the most perfect blend of sea and city scenery! You’ll pass by stretches of turquoise waters where the sunlight shimmers like scattered diamonds, with the city’s red-tiled roofs and historic buildings peeking out from between green hills. 🤣 Each stop feels like a new postcard, and the gentle breeze carries the salty scent of the sea, making every moment delightful.🤣 On a side note, I encountered a kindness in Marseille that I’d never experienced before in France: when I was carrying a large suitcase alone in the subway station, three strangers offered to help me one after another. It made me realize that Marseille has a golden warm heart. I highly recommend a trip to Marseille if you’re visiting the South of France. It’s a city that surprises you with its beauty and warmth, far beyond any preconceptions. Tuba Club ranks as my top restaurant in Marseille—what an incredible experience it was 🥺. Nestled near Marseille’s Old Port (not in the city center), it’s easily accessible by bus, though driving offers more convenience. I first discovered it on Instagram, drawn to the magical dining setup on rocky cliffs overlooking the sea. Sadly, our visit coincided with rough winds and waves, so the outdoor cliffside seating was closed. At first, I felt crestfallen—we’d booked weeks in advance, only to miss the restaurant’s most iconic view💕 But as dusk approached, something extraordinary happened: we witnessed the most breathtaking sunset of my life. The sky erupted in hues of amber, violet, and gold, painting the Mediterranean in a fiery glow that photos could never fully capture.💕 #MarseilleFrance #SouthernFranceGetaway #LesserKnownFrance #CliffsideRestaurant #HiddenTravelGems #RomanticLifeMoments
