Great Value Mediterranean Dinner for Chicago Restaurant Week โ Eden
Eden used to be my go-to brunch spot in West Loop, but it closed during the pandemic and later reopened in Avondale. I finally visited the new location for Restaurant Week. ๐ฅ First Course: Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad โ Huge bowl with almonds, sweet apple slices, and cheese โ fresh, crunchy, and light. ๐ฐ Dessert โ Pear + bergamot mousse on a buckwheat pancake base, or sea salt caramel walnut brownie with banana ice cream. Both were delicious โ the mousse was bright, the brownie rich but balanced by ice cream. ๐ Extra Order: Crab + Butternut Squash Cavatelli โ Not part of the RW menu, but we wanted more. Sweet squash, tender crab, and crispy breadcrumbs โ absolutely worth it. For just $42, Edenโs Restaurant Week menu was filling and flavorful โ better value than many $59 options.
