Greenville, SC | Must-Try Lobster Roll in This "Green Town" đŠ
Greenville, South Carolina, is said to be one of the most livable cities in the USâand since I stayed near Main Street this trip, Iâm declaring it the best city for a City Walk! đ¶ 1. The Jones Oyster Co. A popular local spot thatâs half restaurant, half barâits most famous dishes are oysters and lobster rolls. When I arrived, there was a long line outside, but since I was alone, I got lucky: there was a single seat at the bar! I ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll with fries and coleslaw, and it was absolutely amazing đ. The bread was crispy on the outside, infused with buttery aroma, and inside? It was stuffed with huge chunks of lobster meatânot tiny scraps, but plump, tender, and bouncy pieces. The fries were my favorite kind too: crispy all the way through. Pairing everything with the tangy coleslaw to cut through the richness was perfect. I also tried two types of oystersâtheyâre fresh daily, so the varieties change, and you can ask the staff for recommendations đŠȘ. The oysters came with three dipping sauces: two had mustard, and one was tangy (I even used that one for my friesâit worked!). Btw, the complimentary appetizer snack was great tooâtheir hummus had such a delicious flavor! đ 22 E Court St, Greenville, SC 29601 After Eating: Wander & Explore Once youâre full, walk along Main Street toward Reedy River Fallsâthis stretch is packed with cute shops, and every step is fun: 2. River Street Sweets This shop sells all kinds of chocolates, candies, pastries, and ice cream. Its claim to fame is pralinesâcaramel candies with nuts. Theyâre super fragrant, but be warned: theyâre very sweet! Itâs worth popping in for a look (and maybe a small treat) đŹ. 3. Local Coffee & Art Shop Thereâs a cozy âcoffee & artâ store on Main Street tooâthey sell all kinds of paintings and artworks, which gives the place a unique, creative vibe. Their coffee has great reviews online, so itâs a perfect pit stop if you need a pick-me-up â. đ 14 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601 4. Famous Reedy River Falls The falls are in a small park, and the scenery is so lovelyâ the whole atmosphere feels relaxed and chill đ§. Everyone wanders at a slow pace, and the âvibeâ here is just so comforting. The waterfall itself is smallâyou can walk around the area in less than 10 minutesâbut itâs definitely worth seeing for its peaceful charm! đ 37 Furman College Way, Greenville, SC 29601 #GoodMoodFromCasualWalks #WeekendWandering #Food #TheJoyOfWandering #WaterfallsInMyGallery #GlobalFoodieSquad #NorthAmericaLife #SouthCarolina #SC #Greenville
