GT Life | Halloween in Atlanta Neighborhoods 🎃

Midtown itself? Not so much—it’s mostly apartments. For the real Halloween spirit, you’ve gotta explore areas like Midtown East or Virginia-Highland, where the houses go all out! 🏡✨ I snapped some fun decorations (check out that giant black cat and the skeleton peeking through the bushes — hilarious! 😆). How’s Halloween looking in your area? After weeks of brainstorming, I finally brought my fish dish vision to life — and cooked it for a good friend this week! 🐟🧡 I used sablefish (so buttery and tender, with just the right balance of richness), paired with homemade sweet potato gnocchi, roasted zucchini, and steamed carrots. To tie it all together? A simple but elegant brown butter and lemon sauce. Fair warning — this dish looks minimalist, but it’s a chaotic dance in the kitchen: steaming, roasting, boiling, pan-searing… all at once! 💦👩🍳 Loving those little moments of beauty around campus — like this colorful wind chime casting soft shadows on the Agora wall on a sunny afternoon. 🌈☀️ I’ve been running and walking through Downtown more often lately — and honestly? It’s not as unsafe as people say. Around the Hotel District and Centennial Olympic Park, there’s always movement: cars, people, lively restaurants even after dark. On Saturday, the Exhibition Hall area was totally packed — major traffic! 🚦 And just today, I saw the Olympic Park fountain lit up at night for the first time. Felt like a sweet small-town moment right in the city. 💙 Also, major inspiration from a seminar this week. This professor had it all: depth, big-picture thinking, perfect pacing, even a great sense of humor. Definitely studying their presentation style — wish I’d recorded it! 🎓📝 And hey — discovered a gourmet grilled cheese food truck on campus. Life = made. 🧀🛻 Yeah, I’m kinda loving Atlanta. ❤️ #LifeInUSA #StudyInTheUS #AtlantaLife#GTLife #HalloweenVibes #FoodDiaries#GeorgiaTech #AtlantaEats #FallFeels
