Guillermo del Toro’s Highly Anticipated ‘Frankenstein’ Will Open L.A.’s GuadaLAjara Film Festival Tomorrow
The 15th GuadaLAjara Film Festival in Los Angeles (GLAFF) returns to L.A. from November 6–8, 2025. The festival highlights the richness of Latinx, Latin American, and BIPOC cinema through a vibrant cross-cultural program. It “bridges stories between both sides of the border through film, community, and education.” This year’s edition opens with ***Frankenstein*, Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated film adaptation, marking a homecoming for the Guadalajara-born filmmaker and setting the tone for a weekend of creativity, identity, and storytelling. Beyond screenings, GLAFF fosters connection through panels, masterclasses, and cultural events that bridge borders and amplify diverse voices. Now in its fifteenth year, the festival continues to affirm Los Angeles as a global crossroads for Latin American cinema and a space where stories transcend boundaries.
