Hidden Gem Art Gallery in Rome

Rome is truly a big travel city, the tourist spots are packed with people! Visiting this art gallery was a pleasant surprise! It was very quiet with very few people. The entire venue is also quite spacious, with a wealth of art pieces to appreciate. It also made up for the thing of not being able to take photos at the Vatican the day before (it was seriously crowded). Galleria Doria Pamphilj One of the largest private art galleries in Rome Belonging to the Italian noble family Doria Pamphilj The gallery is located in the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj, which dates back to the early 16th century. The collection includes numerous European paintings, sculptures, furniture, and sarcophagi, among other artworks. It features works by masters such as Raphael, Bernini, Titian, and Caravaggio. 🎨 The portrait of Pope Innocent X by Velázquez is particularly famous. 🎨 The gallery is open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, with the last entry at 6 pm. Closed on December 25th, January 1st, and during Easter. You can buy tickets 🎫 directly at the entrance for 16 euros per person. #Europe #Rome #ArtGallery #RomanHoliday #Photography #Travel
